I’m Alex, the photographer behind weissmatt — primarily focused on wedding and portrait work, with maternity sessions offered as a complementary service. My approach is documentary-driven and lifestyle-oriented: I prefer available light and natural settings to capture honest, emotion-filled images that tell the story of this special time. When I photograph a babybump session, I aim to keep things intuitive and relaxed. Small, gentle directions combined with freedom to move produce candid moments that feel real rather than posed. Sessions can be outdoors in nature or at a location that’s meaningful to you; I like to create an atmosphere where you can connect and simply be yourselves. Because maternity is an additional offering to my wedding and portrait work, each shoot is planned individually. Beforehand we talk about mood, location and timing so the day runs smoothly. I often recommend scheduling late in the second or during the third trimester, when the bump is nicely shaped and you still feel comfortable. On the day I focus on creating a calm, enjoyable experience — whether you want intimate couple portraits, family images including older children, or soft, stylized maternity portraits. My goal is to hand you images that capture the warmth, anticipation and quiet moments of pregnancy.
