People photography is my passion — and maternity photography holds a special place in my work. I’m Bert Steven from Ochtrup, and I design maternity sessions to capture the anticipation, intimate gestures and the tender connection between expectant parents in calm, natural images. Having discovered photography in 2007, I’ve developed a pared‑down, atmospheric style: I prefer natural light, avoid flash when possible and aim for a soft, timeless look for your pregnancy photos. Why choose me for your baby bump shoot: I combine technical care with an empathetic approach. Using a mirrorless camera as my main system and a DSLR as backup, I select motifs deliberately and focus on natural poses, genuine smiles and small details that later become treasured memories. My background in portrait, newborn and wedding photography helps me spot moments and capture them unobtrusively — an important skill for sensitive maternity sessions. How I work with you: Before the shoot we discuss wishes, outfit ideas and suitable locations — whether a walk through a park, a garden setting or a cozy indoor session. You are at the center; duration and place are decided together so you feel comfortable. During the session I give gentle, clear direction and create a relaxed atmosphere so natural movement and true emotion can unfold. As a photographer based in Ochtrup I value personal care and local proximity. Every maternity session is a personal project: I take the time to thoughtfully select and gently edit the images so the final gallery tells your story in warm, authentic photos.
